Steps to use QuickBooks File Doctor Tool for file repair service

The following steps include downloading and installing QuickBooks Tool Hub on the computer and then running File Doctor:

  1. Quit the QuickBooks Desktop application and download the QuickBooks Tool Hub setup file.

  2. Save it somewhere on your workstation you can easily find.

  3. Locate and open the downloaded QuickBooksToolHub.exe file.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the tool hub.

  5. Mark the agree to the terms and conditions checkbox. This will complete the installation process.

  6. Move to your Windows Desktop and double-click the QuickBooks Tool Hub desktop icon.

  7. Select Company File Issues and then Run QuickBooks File Doctor.

  8. Next, choose your company file from the drop-down menu. If your file is not there, click Browse and search.

  9. Mark the Check your file option and then click Continue.

  1. Close all open programs.

  2. In QuickBooks, go to the File menu and choose Utilities.
